This image was captured at the well-known lookout Rex Lookout on the Captain Cook Highway between Cairns and Port Douglas.
I remember clearly it was in the middle of the wet season on and incredibly hot and humid day and around 1pm in the afternoon.
However, I wanted to take a shot at full zoom on my tripod and take a super wide panorama by moving the camera in small increments from left to right and then stitching all the images together in editing.
This was my second attempt at such a shot as previously I had shot it and the increments had not overlapped so the shot did not work.
Here the fourteen shots are taken at 5-degree increments on a level tripod. At full zoom this makes the shot slightly tricky as the editing software can struggle to stitch it together.
However here it all came together and my tutor at the time commented on how she loved the tonal range and colour of the image. This for me made the image a little bit more special.
